🌐 Understanding the OSI Model: The Backbone of Network Communication 🔗
What I love about the OSI model is how it’s structured into layers. Each layer depends on the previous one, yet can evolve independently as long as it delivers understandable content to the next layer.
Picture this: you’re sending a WhatsApp message over Wi-Fi to someone on a fiber connection. Thanks to the OSI layers, your message travels seamlessly, even though the networks are different.
Understanding the OSI model also helps you distinguish network devices such as hubs, switches, and routers, and grasp how technologies like VPNs, CDNs, and proxies work, which layer they operate in, and why they belong there.
The OSI model isn’t just a theory; it’s a lens to see how data moves, adapts, and connects our digital world.
